Role of Tehnology in Teaching and Learning

What is the role of technology in teaching and learning?


I feel that technology is very important in teaching and learning. Mainly because students now are very familiar with technology and love using it to learn and explore. Most students have computers at home, video games and even cell phones that they love to spend their free time using them on a daily basis. Teachers need to use what students love to get them engaged in classroom learning. In order to accomplish these task teachers need to feel comfortable with the technology to be able to teach students with it in their classrooms. Connecting what they like with what they need to learn is the key.
